This project is featured in Sunset Magazine’s Kitchens: A Sunset Design Guide: Inspiration + Expert Advice (2008). We restored this 1900’s US Navy officer’s home to its original grandeur, with modern amenities and function. Located on Mare Island Navy base, once a hub of Navy radio communication for the western United States, it is rumored that this home was one of the first buildings to receive news of the bombings of Pearl Harbor in 1941.
