Assistant Project Manager
Eby Construction is a well-established woodworking company. We have a strong team. Our projects include high-end residential as well as specialized commercial projects.
We are in search of an Assistant Project Manager to support our sales, design, scheduling and accounting work.
Our ideal applicant for Assistant Project Manager (APM) will be assertive, kind, efficient, self-motivated, clever, and have excellent communication skills. S/he should have some knowledge of Autocad, solid skills with Microsoft Excel, and some combination of experience with woodworking, construction and technical design.
One primary responsibility for APM is to capture information from meetings, conversations and emails, and relay that information effectively to the appropriate project members. Information may be related to schedule, design, finishes, specifications, change in scope of work, feedback about ongoing installations. Most information requires followup and checks for cost and schedule impact.
APM reviews job costing data weekly, finds which jobs/processes are performing poorly, and provides managers and leads a weekly assessment. APM compiles Job Costing data for completed projects and shares with principal and Estimator to help with precision in future estimating.
Other key responsibilities are to maintain current files as designs get updated, transmit design submittals, create and follow up on requests for information, download and draw geometry and specifications for fixtures.
APM also may help with day to day office operations, data entry, and basic accounting support.
The Assistant Project Manager position is a natural point of advancement to a Project Manager or Designer position for Eby Construction.
